3D-printed PCL scaffolds provide additional support for tissue and grafts in a rhinoplasty plan.
1Tissue engineering approach
The open scaffold architecture provides space for tissue ingrowth. In rhinoplasty, Osteomesh can be combined with cartilage grafts to provide additional structural support.
2PCL material
Polycaprolactone is a biodegradable polymer that gradually degrades through hydrolysis. The scaffold provides additional support during healing and resorbs over time.
3Porous microarchitecture
Interconnected pores form a three-dimensional network. Osteomesh plates and Tipball scaffolds have distinct geometry, selected according to the support area and the surgeon's plan.
