Annual international conference on plastic, aesthetic and surgical specialties
The conference at Tra Vinh University School of Medicine brought together scientists, specialists and healthcare delegates in plastic, aesthetic and surgical fields.
A multidisciplinary scientific forum
On September 21, the Board of Management of Tra Vinh University held the 2024 Annual International Scientific Conference on plastic, aesthetic and surgical specialties.
Attendees included Associate Professor Dr. Le Hanh; representatives of the Departments of Health of Ben Tre, Vinh Long, Ca Mau, Tien Giang and Ho Chi Minh City; and scientists and specialists in plastic, aesthetic and surgical disciplines from hospitals in Ho Chi Minh City.
The Tra Vinh health sector was represented by Dr. Nguyen Huu Phuoc, Deputy Director of the Department of Health; university representatives included Dr. Thach Thi Dan, Vice Rector; Professor Dr. Ta Van Tram, Rector of the School of Medicine; Dr. Tran Kien Vu, Director of Tra Vinh General Hospital; and Dr. Huynh Thi Hong Nhung, Director of the university hospital, together with more than 800 students.
Sharing techniques and solutions
In the opening remarks, Professor Dr. Ta Van Tram, Rector of the School of Medicine at Tra Vinh University, noted that advances in science and technology have created new opportunities to improve health and quality of life. The conference was organized as a forum for Vietnamese and international specialists to share experience, knowledge and the latest research.
After one day, the organizers completed four major tracks: nose and eye surgery; facial aesthetic surgery; breast and abdomen; and medical aesthetics. In each track, delegates discussed needs, solutions, optimal techniques, the effectiveness of specific advantages and potential risks.
